Dear CSA Members,
Looks like we have a nice dry stretch this coming week. What a relief! The tomatoes are starting to ripen and you will receive a basket of cherry tomatoes in your box this week. With so much rain, and minimal sun these past weeks, they are having a hard time. The warmer and dry weather forecasted will help.
New this week... Carrots! The early carrots are always so sweet and delicious. Enjoy your carrots fresh, roasted, or steamed. Whichever way you prefer I'm sure they will be delicious! We hope you enjoy them.
Also, please keep an eye out for updates as your crop list may change once we start harvesting.

Week #17 Farm News
Dear CSA Members,
In your box this week will be a return of Lettuce! With the cooling fall temperatures, the lettuce will thrive. (Even with the torrential rains, we experienced) But, due to the heavy rains, it creates a whole lot of Mud! So, be sure to wash your lettuce really well. The way I wash the lettuce is but cutting off the butt end and I rinse each leaf in the sink, then place it in the salad spinner and give it one last good rinse and enjoy!
You will also be getting sweet potatoes in your shares this week. Again, as with many of the other crops, they will not hold as long and this is due to the rain we have been battling. So, please use them up.

Week #16 Farm News
Dear CSA Members,
Some more winter squash coming this week in your box! It will be either a Kabocha Squash or a Delicata Squash. They are both very sweet and delicious. I don't know about you but, with the earlier sunsets, it seems these warm winter squash meals are starting to fit right in!
Here on the farm, some of our fall chores have begun. Cleaning up and closing up some of the greenhouses for the season, cleaning out the summer growing fields to get them ready to be seeded with fall cover crops. With each season comes plenty of important chores that will need to be done. We are thankful to have an amazing crew to work through them all together.
